Washington DC: The Canadian Tibetan Association of Toronto, in collaboration with the Office of Tibet-Washington DC, will hold the 21st North American Tibetan Associations Conference at Gangjong Choeden Ling in Toronto from 2 to 4 September 2023.

Around 40 participants from nineteen different Tibetan Associations in North America will attend the conference, along with Representative Namgyal Choedup and Tibetan Liaison Officer Kunga Tashi from the Office of Tibet-Washington, North American Tibetan Parliamentarian Tenzing Jigme, President of the International Campaign for Tibet Tencho Gyatso, Chair of Canada Tibet Committee Samphel Lhalungpa with Executive Director Sherab Tharchin, and President of The Tibet Fund Bob Ankerson. On the final day, Dr Gyalo, a Tibetan activist and educational sociologist, will address the participants on China’s education policies that endanger the Tibetan language and how Tibetans in diaspora can take on this concerning challenge.
