The State Duma of the Russian Federation threatened with imprisonment the military who will try to move from the army to the Wagner PMC.
“PMCs are an illegal armed formation, it is not clear where it is registered and what it does,” the Russian media quoted State Duma deputy Lieutenant General Viktor Sobolev as saying.
He recalled that the military “cannot leave the army at the front.”
“There are a number of laws that prohibit any unauthorized abandonment of parts and criminally punish for this – from 10 to 15 years,” he said.
Yevgeny Prigozhin, the curator of Wagner PMC, has already responded to this statement, calling for Sobolev to be tested for “anti-Russian dysentery” and calling him a “brainless talker.”
