On June 16, 2018, at approximately 1:46 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a five-vehicle injury crash westbound Interstate 84 at milepost 188, near Hazelton.
The drivers and vehicles involved are:
Joseph Seidel, 66, of Twin Falls, ID, driving a 1999 Ford F250 pickup pulling a fifth-wheel camper trailer.
Joe Seymour, 68, of Marshall, MO, driving a 2018 Kia Soul. Mary Seymour, 67, of Marshall, MO, was a passenger in the vehicle.
Ford Grigg, 58, of Meridian, ID, driving a 2007 Nissan Altima.
Angela Metcalf, 35, of Lehi, UT, driving a 2007 Ford Explorer.
David Grayson, 49, of Park City, UT, driving a 2010 Audi Q5.
Seymour, Grigg, and Metcalf were slowing for construction traffic. Seidel failed to slow down and struck Seymour’s vehicle. Seymour and his passenger were transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls, ID.
The westbound and eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 were blocked for approximately two hours while crews worked to clear the scene. All occupants were wearing seatbelts.
Idaho State Police were assisted by the Jerome Rural Fire Department, Magic Valley Paramedics, and the Idaho Transportation Department.
