BRADENTON, Fla. – One man was killed and at least four others shot in a bar fight in Bradenton overnight, authorities said.
Gabriel Conde, 39, was identified as the fatal victim, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said.
When sheriff’s deputies arrived to the bar, four people were found with gunshot injuries.
Later a fifth person showed up at a local hospital with a gunshot injury, a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office news release said.
Witnesses told sheriff’s deputies Conde and at least one other man were at the bar drinking when a group of men arrived, the release said. For unknown reason, the two groups began arguing.
The argument moved outside before they began fighting.
One man in the brawl grabbed a gun and began firing, the release said.
Conde was shot in the chest and died of his injuries. The other shooting victims received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
After the shooting, the armed man left with two to three men in a white 4-door car, possibly a Chevrolet Impala.
Another man believed to be have been in the first group at the bar drove away in a dark SUV. Deputies believe he may be the person who drove to the hospital with a gunshot wound, the release said.
The shooter was described as a bald, Hispanic male, about 5-foot-8, wearing a white T-shirt and blue jean shorts. No specific descriptions were provided of the others involved in the incident.
