Ponte Vedra Beach, FL – Power Tee, the world’s premier automated teeing system and innovator in technology that drives game improvement, golfer engagement and practice facility revenues, has named golf industry veteran William Gray its new sales director. He will be based in Nashville, TN. Having held sales management positions at PXG, Trackman and Wilson Golf, Gray also spent 15 years in the club fitting sector. But Power Tee’s potential was irresistible.

“My passion and background lie with helping grow companies in the golf industry who have breakthrough products and massive growth potential. I felt like Power Tee is growing rapidly here in America for all the right reasons,” says Gray. “Everybody’s adding technology to golf courses and driving ranges right now and we really want to optimize the practice experience at country clubs and golf courses. Many country clubs are starting to add technology, like Toptracer and TrackMan Range and Power Tee helps those gamified technologies run more efficiently and provide more fun for golfers as the facilities see more profit.”

Helmed by UK-born husband-and-wife team Martin Wyeth and Clare Dibley, Power Tee offers a breakthrough solution in the form of golf hitting stations that feature a proprietary auto-teeing system that always ensures a desirable lie and speeds up practice in teaching sessions with automatically teed balls at desired heights.

Golf industry heavyweights like 2003 U.S. Open champion Jim Furyk and legendary teacher Rick Smith are huge believers in Power Tee, but the biggest fans are the owners and operators of courses and facilities with the driving range space who reap serious benefit from providing their customers Power Tee. These properties that convert from grass suddenly need less mowing and maintenance and also see golfers hitting more balls, bringing more people with them, and spending more in the pro shops and on food and beverages.

Wyeth pioneered this concept in England two decades ago and across the UK, today, an impressive 80 percent of the standalone practice facilities in the UK feature Power Tee hitting stations. In the ensuing years, the Power Tee team has been spreading its magic formula across North America where a fast-growing number of properties are discovering the benefits of having reliable practice stations that don’t have the pain-points of tedious or costly grass maintenance. These properties also see the bottom line improve by making their ranges function faster and more efficiently.

“We are delighted that William shares our vision to bring more efficiency, cost-effectiveness and fun to golf courses, private clubs and practice facilities all over the country,” Power Tee’s Founder, Inventor and President Martin Wyeth says. “We’re growing fast and our team is motivated and energized to bring revenue boosting, cost-saving solutions to properties who already know how to monetize their practice spaces. Power Tee just helps them do it more efficiently and in a rewarding and fun manner.”
