A Rhode Island war memorial located in Mississippi was heavily damaged after two tornadoes swept through the area on April 13.
The Rhode Island State Memorial housed at Vicksburg National Park was knocked off its base after severe weather impacted the area last month.
The bronze sculpture was dedicated in 1908 and depicts the figure of an infantryman who picked up the fallen colors, according to the Friends of Vicksburg National Park.
The group said the costs to repair the damage is $20,000.
The organization is taking donations and said a donor will match each donation dollar for dollar.
