Two hospitals in Rhode Island and Massachusetts have entered into an agreement to further collaborate on critical pediatric needs including psychiatry and stem-cell implantation.
The Providence Journal reports that Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence and Boston Children’s Hospital announced the collaboration Friday.
The institutions say they will share expertise and research and provide consultation to advance pediatric care in the region.
The hospitals say the collaboration will create efficiencies in care and help control quality and costs.
Boston Children’s Hospital is ranked the top children’s hospital in the country by U.S. News and World Report.
