The Secret Service is investigating reports of an object being thrown at President Donald Trump’s motorcade in Florida Friday.
According to a press pool report, news reports have emerged of an unidentified object being flung at the presidential motorcade in Florida as it drove from the Palm Beach International Airport to the Mar-a-Lago resort, where Trump will spend the next few days as he takes a break from Washington D.C.
“The Secret Service can confirm that an object appears to have been thrown at the motorcade this afternoon,” a Secret Service spokesperson said in a statement. “We are investigating at this time and don’t have anything further.”
The pool report states that the object may have been a rock, though the nature of it is unconfirmed. The report also notes: “Your pooler did not witness anything out of the ordinary during the drive.”
