Severe storms, heavy rains and flooding were reported across Kansas on Sunday.
The storms brought around five inches of rain to Pratt County, with flooding reported on a number of roadways. Flood warnings were issued for Pratt, Kiowa, Stafford and Barber counties. Several streets in Pratt were closed early Monday because of high water.
The heaviest amounts were reported in north central and northeast Kansas, with 2 to 7 inches of rain reported. Some water rescues were reported in Riley County with heavy rains in the Manhattan area. Marshall County was also reporting serious flooding.
Some roads were flooded near Clearwater Sunday evening, but no severe storms were reported in Sedgwick County. Some tree damage was reported in the Derby area.
A flash flood watch remains in effect through Tuesday morning for north central and central areas of the state.
