Auckland clubs Hibiscus Coast and East Coast Bays have announced a partnership to build a joint pathway for helping develop girl footballers.

In their announcement, the clubs said: “Our goal is to achieve joint TDP accreditation and access to NRFL Youth Girls Leagues, and build a girls’ academy programme where we can foster the future development of aspirational girls in our fast-growing region.”

The clubs will launch their shared academy, for girls born 2008-2010, at a launch function on Monday December 4, 2023, from 6pm-8pm.

The launch will be held at East Coast Bays’ clubrooms at Bay City Park, Oteha.

The clubs are inviting female players, volunteers and supporters of girls and women’s football, and the members of both clubs.
